Campbell and Greenmont Elementary School Building Project
Key Votes for all Dracut Residents
Town Meeting, Monday, June 1st at 7PM, where Dracut will vote on the authorization of a Special Election for the proposed new elementary school.
If authorized, Saturday, June 13th, Dracut will host a Special Election where voters will decide whether to approve a debt exclusion and grant funding for the new elementary school.
The Dracut Public Schools is embarking on an exciting new building project to reimagine and modernize the Joseph A. Campbell and Greenmont Elementary Schools. This initiative is grounded in a shared vision to create safe, inclusive, and future-ready learning environments that reflect the educational values and aspirations of our community. Through collaborative visioning workshops with faculty, staff, and community members, priorities have emerged that include robust support for core academics, social-emotional learning, hands-on and play-based instruction, co-teaching, and access to flexible, technology-rich spaces.
Architectural goals focus on safety and security, grade-level “neighborhoods,” calming sensory areas, accessible green spaces, flexible classrooms, and multipurpose community spaces that support both student and family engagement. This new facility will not only support 21st-century teaching and learning—it will also serve as a welcoming, functional hub for the broader Dracut community.
With a community vote planned for early 2026, The Dracut Public Schools invites families, staff, and residents to learn more, stay involved, and help us shape the future of elementary education in Dracut.
